Julie Staats is the Office Manager at Up-Rev. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Services before gaining professional experience in administrative, financial, and customer service positions. Prior to Up-Rev, Julie was the Head Office Administrator for a large property management company in Jacksonville. She was also the HR/Office Manager for an accounting and tax firm here in Melbourne.
Throughout her career, Julie’s greatest work-related accomplishment involved assisting in the substantial annual revenue growth within her previous employment position. She also reduced employee turnover through effective management and interpersonal skills and developed and implemented new procedures for increased efficiency. Her combined five years of experience in office management, human resources, and bookkeeping, as well as over eight years of experience in customer service practices, makes Julie a vital asset to our team.
In the future, Julie hopes to start a non-profit for assisting coming-of-age youth in foster care who are transitioning out of the system. The end goal would be to prevent homelessness by providing counseling, housing, education, and employment resources. When she’s not working, Julia enjoys going to the beach, paddle boarding, working out, and playing with her dog.
Ann Beecham is the HR Consultant at Up-Rev. She earned her MBA with a concentration in Human Capital Management and has an ABD (All But Dissertation) Doctorate in Organizational Psychology. Her previous professional experience involved working with small to medium-sized businesses to help develop talent strategies that would take them into the future. She also served as the Chief Administrative Officer at CareerSource Central Florida and the Director of HR at the Early Learning Coalition of Brevard.
Throughout her 16 years of experience, Ann is grateful for the privilege of using her education, experience, and insight to help individuals, teams, and companies go from good to great and great to greater. She’s a member of the national and local chapters of the Society of Human Resources, SHRM Government Affairs A-Team, the HR Peer Group for the Association of Builders and Contractors, and the Florida Diversity Council. In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her husband, kids, and grandkids.
Elin Svensson is the Controller at Up-Rev. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Global Management and Finance as well as her MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. Currently, Elin is pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting and Financial Forensics and plans to pursue her CPA after graduation in Summer 2021. With over five years of experience in the industry as both a financial analyst and controller, Elin’s greatest work-related accomplishment is improving financial performance and profitability.
In her spare time, Elin enjoys volunteering and has served Who We Play For and Habitat for Humanity. She also loves CrossFit, playing and coaching soccer, running, and spending time with her Mini Dachshund.
Chris Chaleki is the Senior Hardware Engineer at Up-Rev. He has a deep understanding of HDL coding, software-defined radios, analog RF, analog small signal, and analog large signal. Chris is also skilled in writing technical papers, doing PCB layout, SystemVerilog, transitioning FPGA to ASIC, agency testing, electro-optics, and system architecture for hardware. Further, Chris has a special interest in prototyping and debugging. Chris hopes to work more on 5G radios and creating reference designs at Up-Rev.
John M Boyle IV is the Engineering Tech at Up-Rev. CPT certified, John has two years of experience in the industry. Through excellent organization and time management skills, John is an expert at helping our team of engineers finish and deliver large projects on time.
Outside of work, John loves to travel around the county. He also enjoys going to local spots with friends and participating in outdoor activities, including various sports, hiking, biking, and going to the beach.
Kelly Hill is the VP of Sales and Marketing at Up-Rev. After earning her Bachelor of Arts at Purdue University, Kelly’s career led her to gain over 20 years of experience in the industry — 15 years in marketing and sales management, 12 years in procurement, and seven years in sales consulting. Her extensive industry knowledge allows her to build and manage high-performing sales teams with ease.
On top of her work at Up-Rev, Kelly is a Board Member of GrowFL and an Advisory Board Member of SBDC. She also enjoys exploring Florida’s beaches and trails in her spare time, as well as golfing and socializing with family and friends.
Jason Berger is the Software Engineer at Up-Rev. Prior to earning his Bachelor of Science in Software Development from Western Governors University, Jason started his career as a self-taught embedded software developer in 2012. His nine years of experience first began with a startup in Boulder, Colorado, creating prototypes for new products using embedded software and hardware design. While employed there, he also did CAD design for a robotic startup in the area. After, Jason moved to Florida and did embedded systems for CO2Meter.com, where he completed the full hardware and firmware design for a handheld touchscreen platform that could be customized for each customer. In 2014, Jason did PCB layout and firmware for a local company before joining Up-Rev to help with a Bluetooth headphone project.
Katie Carlson is the Electrical Engineer at Up-Rev. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida before spending six years as a defense contractor. Katie’s seven years of experience in the industry make her a knowledgeable and valuable team member here at Up-Rev. In her spare time, Katie loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys going to the beach.
Cindy Campbell is the Bookkeeper at Up-Rev. After earning her Bachelor’s in Accounting, Cindy’s gained 30 years of experience in the industry as an Internal Auditor, Senior Financial Analyst for an academic medical center, Accountant/Project Manager for luxury vacation home development, and a Freelance Bookkeeper for small businesses. A few of Cindy’s achievements during her career include being the onsite liaison for offsite investors. This involved coordination with contractors, buyers, attorneys, banks, and HOA. She’s also collected and analyzed data for an annual benchmarking report on over 90 physician practice sites. This report incorporated a potential opportunities section to assist participants in finding improvement opportunities, estimated at over $60 million if sites improved to the 75th percentile.
Cindy is involved in the Space Coast Association of Realtors and was the former Treasurer of the American Business Women Association’s local chapter. She also enjoys participating in dog agility competitions with her Miniature American Shepherd.
Mark Bayless is the Chief Software Engineer at Up-Rev. Mark specializes in software architecture, design, and problem-solving. He also has a deep understanding of Windows application development, Linux application development, embedded firmware development in C, and software development using C, C++, and C#. Down the line, Mark is excited to work on IoT devices, robotics, and home automation at Up-Rev.
Diane Silverstein is the Business Development Manager at Up-Rev. Diane has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration/Technology Management. Most of Diane’s career has focused on face-to-face sales in the technology sector. Her 20-plus years of experience can be seen through multiple job titles, including Field Sales, Business Development, Account Manager, and Distribution Manager. Her expertise lies in managing all aspects of client relations within the company, and her focus is always on providing the best product or service to meet clients’ needs.
While Diane has closed large sales and managed multi-million-dollar accounts, her most significant accomplishment over the course of her career is achieving a stellar reputation in the industry as a tenacious advocate for her customer and company. When she’s not working, Diane dedicates herself to volunteering for organizations that promote healthy families. She served as President of the North County San Diego Chapter of Parents United, Resource Aid for Parenting Classes sponsored by the YMCA, and instructed YMCA swim classes for infants. She also has a passion for travel and spent the past few years learning the luxury travel industry. Further, Diane enjoys golfing, photography, reading, writing, and spending time at the beach.
Alexander Burns is the Director of Programs at Up-Rev. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida before starting at Up-Rev as a technician. Alexander then moved up the ranks holding the titles Associate Engineer and Project Manager prior to becoming the Director of Programs.
Throughout his nine years of experience, Alexander’s greatest work-related accomplishment has been seeing the products Up-Rev has helped develop out into the world. In his free time, Alexander is a part of PMI and loves spending time with his friends and family, whether that be going to a sporting event or concert.
Eric Thosteson is the Systems Engineer at Up-Rev. He specializes in machine learning, environmental sensing, remote data acquisition systems, embedded systems architecture, digital signal processing, LED lighting design, electronic design, computer vision, and building automation and lighting systems. On top of this, Eric enjoys working with autonomous underwater sensor system design, developing algorithms using high-level mathematics, image processing, and troubleshooting embedded systems. As he continues his work, Eric hopes to explore underwater robotics and the application of blockchain technologies. Prior to joining Up-Rev, Eric specialized in ocean engineering and was an oceanography professor for eight years.
Kevin Eckstein is an engineer at Up-Rev. His expertise lies in analog and power design as well as troubleshooting analog, digital, RF, and power. Kevin is also an excellent communicator, problem-solver, and teacher. He’s not afraid of challenges that seem impossible and enjoys digging into the physics behind products to create the best outcome. In the future, Kevin hopes to work on products in the aerospace, biomedical, and industrial fields at Up-Rev.
Larry Covey is the Staff Engineer at Up-Rev. Larry specializes in printed circuit design and configuration management as well as CAD library setup, maintenance, and management. On top of these skills, Larry also does RF layout, HDI layout, high-speed digital layout, power supply layout, DFM, CID+, and CAD conversion from one software to another. As his career continues at Up-Rev, Larry is interested in working with rigid-flex designs and wearable products.
Michael Carter is the Hardware Manager at Up-Rev. He is expertly skilled in digital design, FPGA development, railway products, safety design in SIL4, new technology concepts, and consumer electronics. On top of these skills, Michael is excellent at doing IOT sensors, WIFI/BT design, and size and cost reduction techniques. Two markets Michael would like to work in at Up-Rev are the automotive and medical fields.
Richard Kern is the Associate Engineer at Up-Rev. While his expertise lies in schematic capture and troubleshooting, Richard is also skilled in PCB layout, circuit analysis, and document control. In the future, Richard hopes to work on products in the space, solar energy, and electric motor fields.
Robert Trujillo is the VP of Development at Up-Rev. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology before gaining ten years of professional experience in the industry. Prior to working at UpRev, his career primarily focused on creating DoD signal intelligence applications for geolocation products. This included a mix of software development for both embedded, PC, and mobile applications.
According to Robert, his greatest work-related accomplishment was getting the opportunity to lead Up-Rev’s development team. “We have a talented group of engineers and project managers, and I look forward to seeing this team grow together.” In his spare time, Robert enjoys boating with his daughter and wife, golfing, and gaming.
Richard Maxwell is the Chief Operating Officer at Up-Rev. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida, Richard started his career as an FPGA engineer with multiple DoD companies. He then moved into program management eight years later before coming to Up-Rev as a business owner in 2016. His role at Up-Rev has changed throughout the years and includes Program Manager, VP of Engineering, VP of Development, and COO.
Throughout his 21-year career, Richard’s greatest work-related accomplishment has been growing Up-Rev into the business it is today. Outside of work, Richard is involved in PMI and CEO nexus. He also enjoys coaching his kids’ sports teams, golfing, and taking family trips.
Jason Petro is the President of Up-Rev. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida. Prior to Up-Rev, Jason led engineering teams at various companies for ten years for custom product development efforts. He then moved into project management and business development roles at both previous companies and Up-Rev.
